About

Sepideh Sobhani — Psychotherapist

“A place to return to yourself.”

I hold a B.A. in Clinical Psychology and an M.A. in General Psychology, and have spent several years working in therapy and training — both in individual sessions and educational workshops. I currently practice in Tehran and Istanbul, and I'm a member of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS). Alongside clinical work, I have authored a book in this field.

Therapeutic Approach

My clinical work draws on a combination of evidence-based approaches — tailored to each client's needs, and informed by findings from neuroscience:

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Facing difficult thoughts and feelings instead of avoiding them, and building a life aligned with personal values.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Identifying and reworking unhelpful thought patterns that create or sustain distress.

Schema Therapy

Working with the deeper roots of recurring patterns in relationships and self-image.

Reality Therapy

Focusing on controllable, present-moment choices — for adults, children, and adolescents.

Mindfulness

Cultivating present-moment awareness alongside the core therapeutic approaches above.
